Malaysia Airlines’ Chief Executive Officer, Peter Bellew, said “We are excited to resume direct flights to Surabaya to serve the city’s growing tourist demands. As the second largest city of Indonesia Surabaya, also known as the ‘City of Heroes’, is rich with cultural and historical sites. This route expansion will provide superior connectivity with direct flights operating four times weekly to and from Kuala Lumpur to the second busiest airport in Indonesia. Malaysia Airlines currently flies to three Indonesian routes from Kuala Lumpur.
