Malaysia Airlines Welcomes Passengers to Fly Confidently and Reunite with Loved Ones
Grab fares from as low as RM89!
KLIA, 9 August 2021: Malaysia Airlines is ready to facilitate travel for fully vaccinated long-distance married couples and parents to reunite with their loved ones with fares as low as RM89 on its Economy Lite category within domestic destinations.
This promotion is available for booking from 10 August 2021 until 30 September 2021 and valid for immediate travel until 30 October 2021.
Malaysia Airlines invites customers to fly confidently as the airline enhanced health and safety protocols across multiple touchpoints at airports and onboard to ensure customers and employees’ safety are protected at every step of the way. These measures include mandatory usage of face masks, frequent aircraft disinfection, and the upgrade of the airline’s aircraft HEPA filters with better filtration capability to ensure the efficiency of the air recirculation that are proven to filter out 99.97 per cent of viruses on board. Passengers will also receive complimentary hygiene kits which come with a non-surgical face mask, a sachet of hand sanitiser and a sachet of sanitary wipes, hygienically packed in a sealed zip-lock small sized pouch.
Currently, more than 93% of Malaysia Airlines’ pilot and cabin crew are vaccinated. Together with its sister companies under the Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), the Company expects to achieve 100% of its employees fully vaccinated by mid-August this year, following the Group’s participation in the Industry Vaccination Centre (PPVIN) that started in July 2021.
Group Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia Airlines Captain Izham Ismail said, "The Covid-19 pandemic has taken the joy of travelling away from many people worldwide. Malaysia Airlines is fully prepared and delighted to play our part in connecting customers onboard who have not seen their loved ones since the implementation of the nationwide lockdown. This latest flight series reflects the national airline's significant role in providing critical air connectivity throughout the COVID-19 pandemic for essential travels.
As a caring airline, we remain committed to ensuring safer and seamless travel for our customers by adopting the highest safety and hygiene standards. We believe it is also crucial to operate a flight with fully vaccinated crew as well as frontline teams, as it is important to welcome our passengers to fly confidently with us."
Passengers can enjoy Economy Lite Fares’ benefits that come with a cabin baggage allowance of 7kg, complimentary snacks/meals and beverages, inflight entertainment, in addition to earning Enrich Miles for each travel for every booking made.
Malaysia Airlines received 7- star rating for COVID-19 health and safety measures from AirlineRatings in 2019. To take advantage of the airline's great prices and outstanding COVID-19 safety record, customers can book their tickets via Malaysia Airlines' App, the airline's official website, at www.malaysiaairlines.com for their next Fly Malaysia experience.
