Malaysia Airlines personalises travel experience with tailor made journeys
KLIA, 19 April 2019: Malaysia Airlines today announced its new flexible fare options, for travel within Malaysia, allowing guests to personalise their journey according to their individual requirements. Moving away from the traditional "one-size-fits-all" fare, the new alternatives allows for more flexibility and choice and is in response to customer demand for a more personalised way of travel.
Beginning 8 April 2019, passengers traveling within Malaysia on Economy will be able to select a combination of bundled fares and services. These come with accompanying privileges which include baggage allowances as well as other opt-in options, allowing passengers to just pay for what they need. The new flexible fares now include a lower fare for day-trippers without any need for baggage. Passengers can also opt to book fares with extra baggage allowance with the flexibility to choose their seats as well as change of travel dates, refund and rebooking entitlement.
All fare bundles come with complimentary refreshments, free in-flight entertainment and no credit card fees.

Gone are the traditional one-size fits all methods with complex pricing with unclear choices and no differentiation. Customers now want choice and flexibility. We are confident that our new fare options will cater to this, whether you are a busy business man on a day trip or a family of four going to Balik Kampong. These new options will allow customers to decide what they want rather than simply buy what an airline offers. These new fares are testament to Malaysia Airlines’ commitment to ensure we respond to our passengers’ demands.”
